Hacking R4i Gold Upgrade Process Not Working

I purchased an R4i Gold v1.41 from r4igold.cn.

My DSi is running software version 1.4.1 and I'm attempting to use the upgrade package on their site so I can update my DSi's firmware.
While running the upgrade app it freezes at 19%. I left the upgrade running for half an hour and yet it still wouldn't budge over 19% so I turned of my DS and gave up. By the way, no my R4i is not bricked it's working just as normal.

I don't know why it's not updating.

Please I need help with this one as I need to use the DSiWare transfer tool for my 3DS but I don't want to update my firmware!

As it states on the website itself

Date:[2011-12-11] 3DS V3.0.0-5i upgrade package will be updated [Download]
but not work on 1.41 or below version.
