Apologies if this has been asked a million times. I have read several threads on this and I am still unclear. Possibly because some of them have old info.

Here is what Step 2 of Section VI currently says:

Do one of the following (or neither if you don't mind 3DS #1's NNID being nonfunctional)

* Do the rest of the sections and then the full guide on 3DS #2, then wait one week, then System Transfer from 3DS #2 back to 3DS #1 (remember you cannot transfer back from a New 3DS to an Old 3DS)
* Go to the settings and attempt sign back into your initial NNID, then call Nintendo and ask about the error you get

My main question:

Is one of the two 3DSs going to permanently lose its ability to have a NNID?

My plan:

I want the NNID back on 3ds #1 so that in 2 weeks I can do this again, using 3ds #1 and another 11.1 3ds. So in 1 week, after doing the full A9LH guide on 3ds #2, I am going to do "System Transfer from 3DS #2 back to 3DS #1".

But, again, my question is. After doing that will 3DS #2 lose the ability to have a NNID ever again? Or, after doing that, do I simply just format 3DS #2 and then someone can put a new NNID on it just fine.

You can still link another NNID to the 2nd 3ds after you transfer you original NNID back to the 1st 3ds.

Okay so (in 1 week after I transfer back to 3ds #1) I format 3ds #2, and then after that someone can create a new NNID on 3ds #2 just like normal?

And, just to be clear, the answer to my main question is therefore "no"?

Sorry guys need some clarification.

3DS #1 = hacked
3DS #2 = normal

#1 Do fieldrunners save injection etc -> system transfer to #2 -> proceed to downgrade/install cfw on #2 -> 1 week later system transfer #2 back to #1

Now #1 has it's original NNID & #2 can create it's own NNID?

Correct, as long as both consoles are old or both new (can't system transfer from new to old).
