Questioning links in my sig

So I have two links to my own things in my sig. Though I'm aware probably nobody really cares about it, I'm not sure what the rules here are on advertising things.

I tend to lean towards "it's fine putting it in if it's in signature/profile but not if you're only here to advertise, and constantly mention your stuff in posts irrelevantly etc", not sure what the mods views are here if they differ or not ^^

Probably a pretty stupid question but... stupid questions are better than no question at all and leaving yourself clueless!

As far as I know, having it in your signature is fine.

Ah, alright. I've had experience with other forums that outright ban user links anywhere for relatively new/suspicious members, usually because of spam hitters (I once got put on SFS for this reason)

Yes posting about it in the forums is advertising.
But I have a kofi link in me signature and I seen others with other links as well.

I think that for as long as you keep it in your signature and aren't obviously advertising it that it is fine.

Dunno if any other staff member wants to pitch in on it.

As far as I know, having it in your signature is fine.

As long as the advert is non-obtrusive and does not contain links to warez of any kind, members may link to their own website, forum, or venture in their signature and profile ONLY.
