Can anybody tell me where it is stored?
Also I heard there was a mechanism in the 3ds that would erase all illegal content like update from the 3ds if you go to a specific option?

Saves are normally saved in the root of your SD card, for example, Bravely Default is saved as 00040000000FC500.sav. DLCs and updates are saved somewhere in the Nintendo 3DS folder, as far as I know.

Saves are stored on the root of the internal larger sd card and not on the micro sd card, to save games correctly make sure to return to the home of the 3ds and then close application. as for updates and dlc this isn't something ive looked into, i would love to know how to get updates like for smash bros amiibo support.

someoff offtopic, but better change all your games to card2 type.

1. Real time saving
2. compatible with savedatafiler

While point 1 is being the most important.
I had an experience that when I was returning to the home menu, my 3ds froze. I have never backed up my game saves, and the result is you need to restart the game with no save data.

But doesn't card2 mean no trimmed games, and more importantly what can cause a 3DS to freeze in the first place. Also what is this savedatafiler, and with real time saving are you saying saves are stored to the sd card while playing the game instead of on exit of the game to the 3ds home screen?

I am not sure about the trimming stuff. Maybe you gotta ask others or Google yourself.
No idea what cause the freeze, but if you encounter one, your save data would be corrupted and cannot be used.
Unless you have backed up your saves, you would need to start over or download someone's else save.
With card1 games, you need to return to home menu in order to finish the saving proceed for GW.
The save is temperately stores in the SD of the red card when you are playing, and would import to the big SD of 3ds when you return to home menu. For card2 games, when you save, the save data would be instantly stored in the Rom, which means a real time saving.

Savedatafiler is a tool to manage your save files for card2 games and Cia games.
You can convert card2 save types to via type, and vice versa.

Use something like gateway rom patcher to inspect the rom it will tell you if its a card1 or card2 rom personally I leave them well alone as they were originally and prefer to have my saves stored away from the rom. I know some games will be card2 but a majority of saves would be stored else where, also trimming isnt supported on card2. I've been able to fit 90 games instead of 56 and still have the identical space remaining on the micro sd.

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
