that money should go to the facebook users not facebook

and when will the government do anything about private email spammers. how come only big companies get this kind of treatment?

i want 100 bucks for every spam email i've received.

Never.

'Private' spam messages actually get sent through other people's emails (maybe some spam even gets sent from your email address without you knowing it). Therefore, 'the government' really can't do shit about it.

I just hate Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg. That much of a fine is overkill and just shows how Facebook is the new brand for greed. I mean, how much money did they even lose from this guy?

but many of those spam emails have a specific product they are pushing or specific site or vendor, the government can do something about those companies. for example i keep getting spammed by AARP, i even called them they make me so angry but they still spam me.

in the us if a company calls you and you answer and you tell them not to call you any more and they do, you can receive 500 bucks from said company.

Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook.

They can't blame the company because they have no proof whatsoever it was in fact the company that sent the emails in the first place. Sure, it sounds logical, but it's not necessarily the case.

The real question is, why would people devote their lives to ruin other people's lives?

Show dominance?

That actually makes some sense.
I bet he giggled to himself everytime he sent spam and then looked around his mother's basement and saw that he had no friends to share it with...

He's obviously never going to pay it, anyway. He'll be under this for the rest of his life, so tbh he'd probably be better off jumping off a bridge or something. Rulings like this accomplish nothing except ruining a person's life. Sure, spam is annoying, but who's actually hurt by it? Oh, those poor little tools posting on Facebook from their iPoser devices having to tap the screen a couple extra times to delete an ad about Erectile Dysfunction. Big fu**ing deal. Is it worth ruining someone's life over?
No one should have sympathy for those kinds of asshats who want to harass other users with spam. Honestly, as someone who gets a shitload of spam email every day from people all around the world, I have no sympathy for those belligerent assholes who persist to try and flood my email inbox with ads for pills to make my dick bigger, fake PhD's and various other types of spam. Those people should have their internet rights taken away, banned by all ISP's for the remainder of their existence.
