THank you arras. Well sure you say get MSPD but for 5 euro's this is worth a shot! If it didnt work they wouldnt sell it.

But yeah I'd have to get 16 GB probably or only 16 gb is usable of the 32 gb..? Well see I guess.

According to http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/918340-/60699401 that adapter I linked supports two 32GB microSD cards = 64GB.

According to the technical specifications of the Photofast CR5400 which I happen to own, the adapter supports 16GB per slot and any higher-capacity SD is not guaranteed to work. I'm more inclined to believe the manufacturer than gamefaq's and see a huge difference between "support" and "well, it works". :)

^Additionally approximately 82.7% of what Kurgan says is rubbish made up to impress people with how "knowledgeable" he is about the PSP when it's either fiction or copy/paste from old forum topics (such as Maxconsole)...funnily enough when you call him out on something he runs off and hides to avoid exposing himself as full of hot air.

He does appear to be full of it - according to him, the adapter is just a bundle of wires whereas in fact it's a chip which creates a RAID-like matrix between the two SD cards and transcribes the interface to an MSPD-compatible one. Memory Sticks are NOT bigger SD cards, they're different and using an adapter does cap total transfer speed which can be seen on proper benchmarks.

And given that recent CFWs can undo some software-set limits on transfer speeds (like older ones used to be able to), it's another reason to go for something that we know works quickly.

I mean unless you're just loading smaller files, like ROMs. The memory stick speedup does make SNES games load noticeably faster, but a 50% increase on a 1.5-second loading time isn't something everybody cares about.

To be honest, I'm only using an adapter because it was a cheap way to quickly ramp up on capacity - with my limited budget, I wouldn't be available to afford a 16GB MSPD, and as a person who simply has to have a "whole lot of stuff" on the card for comfort, it was a necessity for me. If I could afford it, I probably would have an MSPD, even if for the read speed alone. Adapters should be treated as an alternative, not the default storage device.

Adapters had a "point" when MSPD's were priced ridiculously high - now it's not the case. Remember - you get what you pay for.

Yup same reason. don't have enough money to spare.

ANywayz I just got my 5400 photophast adapter. Tried 32 GB single micro sd cards works flawlessly!!

From what I read 2x 32 Gb should even work.

and no, that's not excessive. Imagine you transfer all the gameboy/colour /gba /snes/ n64 roms + all the good psp games + a selection of good ps1 games. These psp/ps1 games aren't small like DS games.

These photofast adapters do indeed work with 2X64GB micro SD cards as well. Someone else about a month back on these forums confirmed it and I hadnt taken the plunge because i hadnt seen anyone else try it but yes it does indeed work. 118GB of free space after being formatted (VIA the psp, dont connect them to a PC)

Card is totally full except for about 500MB and Ive not ran into any issues apart from the obvious one of it taking 10 seconds or so when trying to open the list of all the games in the menu

Problem is, now days you won't be able to find a genuine CR-5400. All CR-5400 on the Internet is fake. And i have one that corrupted my 8GB microSD.
