The website might say success. If you attempt to install CFW you will brick your PS3 period.

It will brick as soon as the exploit is installed, not when you install the cfw.

However. The web page can say success even though it hasn't installed the exploit, because the success message just means it tried to start installing the exploit. The first time I got success, the console locked up and it didn't install.

If it installs the exploit then the ps3 will beep three times and shut down. If you do it on a cech-3xxx then it will never turn back on.

create user aa, login in it and launch reActPSN.

Activating a package using a rap file requires few steps. It can be done with ReActPSN or PSNPatch. However, I will only describe how to do it with ReActPSN.

1. Format a USB key in FAT32.
2. Create the folder 'exdata' at the root of the USB key.
3. Move the corresponding RAP file for the games you want to activate in the exdata folder.
   Warning: Do not rename rap files ! You need to leave their original ugly name.
4. Connect the USB key in the right USB port of the PS3 (the closest to the bluray drive).
5. Delete the ReActPSN user on your PS3 if it exists.
6. Create the account 'aa' (without quotes) and open the account.
7. Run ReActPSN and the screen should go black, then you should hear beeps and then the PS3 should reboot.
8. The user 'aa' should be gone now and the account 'ReActPSN' automatically created.
9. You're done !

On xampp-htdocs, put the exploit files there. If you know the PC's IP, great ! Just go to the PS3, and type IP:80/nameofthefolderexploit

If you think this is too difficult, go to your webbrowser, delete cookies and anything about your navigation. Then triangle, for choosing your home page type about:blank or put Red's Website.

Success!!! Did it on a lark this morning and it worked first try. Makes me think there was an update to the exploit overnight, or I got lucky. Either way, my PS3 is gonna be homebrew AF now.

also, what is .rap files that comes with the game? how to use them?

All/Most PSN games will require a pkg fix or reactpsn. The difference between PSN vs ISO format is that ISO format games do not require a fix patch to play
Another downside to PSN/PKG formatted games is that when you update it you need a fix for that specific update aswell or you lose access to it again. This is why I prefer ISO format unless that game is exclusively from PSN
Multiman does its magic when it updates games for you without even being logged on to PSN

I tried it but it didn't work. 192.169.34:8000 btw I did connect and still no luck :/

Then after reading your response, I renamed the rar file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP", and it still said "No applicable update data was found."
