Hardware PS3 no signal, green light, and must hold down to power off.

Okay so today I was doing some repairs to my PS3 and when I put it all back together and plugged in HDMI the green light appeared, but there was no signal to the tv. So I turned it off and it wouldn't turn off. So I held the button then it turned off. Also my recovery mode isn't working. Anyone know a fix? Thanks!

I did some more research and apparently I am in something known as "pre-YLOD" state. I just changed my thermal paste so idk how this even happens. Did I put too much or too little?

Quick update my buttons no longer have lights, but when i click they make a noise. Going to bed this issue is unsolved
