PS1/2 OPL ps1 games no longer working

So I set up OPL a few years ago and everything was working fine, PS2 games, PS1 games, all good. PS2 games have been installed on my hdd and ps1 games are stored on my usb stick. I quit playing and a year or so goes by and all of the sudden, the ps1 games stopped working. Should I delete and reinstall OPL or did I change something I can easily change back?

Well OPL sounds like its working, the PS1 games sound like they aren't.
I'd start by checking the health of the USB.
