Promotional poster and plot details showcased for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie

Whether you want it to exist or not, The Fast and the Furious producer's Sonic the Hedgehog film is currently in production. A few new details were divulged through an exclusive story from IGN, including a promotional poster, which can be seen above, though it intentionally obscures Sonic's face. Sonic, voiced by Ben Schwartz (most known for his roles in DuckTales and Parks and Recreation) will have an attitude resembling a "juvenile delinquent", as he winds up on Earth, and has to deal with the way his new home works, while partnering up with a police officer (James Marsden) in order to take on Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik. The movie's production team has explained that, as seen in the poster, they wish to give Sonic a more "realistic" look, giving him fur and less cartoon-y shoes.

During an interview, Tim Miller (Deadpool director) stated that he believes SEGA isn't pleased with the way Sonic's eyes will look, as there was difficulty in adapting the character's face for the setting of the movie. The entire film team is said to be working directly with SEGA in order to make sure the project represents the best of what Sonic the Hedgehog has to offer, and to create something that all fans can enjoy. Sonic The Hedgehog will premiere in theaters late next year, on November 8, 2019.

Also, this seems to be a real poster.

Well, they have until the end of next year, but this looks like the Sonic we are getting.

Welp, I meant to edit.

Well, at least it is better than I thought.

I'm sorry. He just looks...like Sonic if someone was trying really hard to try and have him fit into the real world while also maintaining the character's anime aesthetic!

Like, this should be an anime movie, not this weird, 90's Super Mario Bros. wannabe-edgy-and-realistic-for-teenagers Sonic that just looks so...clashy in terms of style!

Yeah, you can surely see the battles and debates in the design itself. Even for CGI, I think they could have just have Sonic look like Sonic. Like Detective Pikachu.

That Dell data breach is worse than people probably realize....
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
When I worked for Dell we had access to data about military contracts and addresses for high ranking people.

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

sometimes I wonder why anyone would ever buy mega man x legacy collection 2
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
