Since you are considering to play a version of a console you might not have plus a title that's not sold anymore, you are going to sail the high seas anyway, so why don't you just test both and decide for yourself? Or even look up a comparison YouTube video?

Apparently the balance changes and QoL stuff if good in the remaster BUT its got a (in my opinion) hideous filter to the graphics that you can't turn off. So it's personal preference.

Then I'll play the remaster to avoid the pointless grinding. Is there a patch which removes the filter?
