I have 4 games as channels now, I followed some tutorial on youtube when modding my wii and I ended up with these games as channels. I have a few questions

1.) Where do I get more of them?
2.) Which genereation are these games from? IE; NES, SNES, N64?
3.) Where are these games stored? IE; SD, Internally etc..

If someone could just point me in the right direction i would be very grateful.

It seems like there is a lot of discussions about how to use an emulator on the wii but I cant find anything on how to install a old rom as an actual channel. i dont have a need to have 700 NES games, i would just like a handful as channels. is this possible?

I have found a ton of roms, they are all over the internet. what I cant seem to find any info on is how to dedicate a channel to a rom.

can someone please help me out?

unless you buy them, you'll have about as much trouble installing the few channels (they're stored on the wiis nand btw) as you would have installing the few emulators.
to install 'game channels' you need the wads (which are sometimes hard to find, most torrents are down, theres much fake going on online too) and a wad manager.

the emulators however are installed pretty quickly through the homebrew channel (theres even forwarders, so you have a channel for each emulator) and then its just a question of putting roms into a folder on sd card.
its not like you're forced to put 700 games on those things.

so yeah. just do yourself a favor and use emulators, its going to be much quicker than what you want to do

this is great!! i went digging around the wide world of web and found a bunch of packs of .WAD i put them on the SD card in the WAD file and then installed using MMM. THIS IS LIKE A GOLD MINE OF GAMES!! new, old, big, small. they installed as channels as I wanted and i couldnt be happier. Now i have like 30 channels of all of these games.

Thank you very much for the help, next I will look into emulators

There IS a way to inject a different ROM into those official emulator packages and have them run as channels but as mentioned above doing this individually for each one is FAR more complicated than just opening a more normal emulator and just clicking on the one you want.

(I'm actually working on unifying those processes right now but it's not done yet.)

you can move them by pressing and holding the A and B buttons together while pointing at them. Then point at the + and - icons at the side of the screen for a moment to switch pages.
