I was recently playing NSMB2 and thought to myself "This game would be really cool to see on the wii" so I have begun the recreation project fo wii! Don't worry, I have done big hacks to wii games before so I know how to do this. I will post some screenshots when I can but until then, wish me luck!

Ill send U a PM :mthr:

Maybe you should do a Thread with your top 10?

I know some, but they're probably not the best ones (I generally don't find the super impossible ones to be the most fun..)
I used to watch the dev from Mario Crossover play some of these (Exploding Rabbit) ..and remembering it now, I'm wanting to play some SMW hacks again :P

I played a lot of SMW hacks, I recommend SMW2+3: The Essence Star and Super Mario Cookie Crisis(unfortunately, is unfinished)

A tip for those who want to play them on the wii: Use version 4.1.5 of Snes9xGx

In the newer versions of snes9xgx most hacks are unplayable. In version 4.1.5 all hacks i tested worked fine

...

About the idea of bringing NSMB2 for wii:
It would be possible to put a coin counter? It would be nice

My brother is disabled, and can't physically grasp or play a 3DS. He can play the Wii and DS versions though via an emulator on his computer. If you complete this project, he'll get to experience the level design of NSWMB2--so I'm rooting for you and your project :)

I've heard other people have the same idea, but most of them end up forgetting about the project or lose interest.

@K3Nv2, Not gonna lie, about half of its game library was shovelware like its counterpart, the Wii.

@SylverReZ, and the other half were just 1st party games

@Xdqwerty, The Wii U was essentially an early Switch, before the Switch was a thing.

Older systems I love some of the games but without filters and enhanced graphics they are difficult to enjoy

I think my favorite PS1 enhancement is sub pixel precision, helps get rid of some of those wobbly polygons lol

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Psionic Roshambo, By default, the polygons are filtered with differing to simulate depth, which doesn't make them clearer.

There are ways to disable this by creating cheat codes, but this requires knowledge of the PS1 hardware.

I miss the old game shark books you could just go to Walmart and buy now it's instant ban or some punishefor using cheats

@Psionic Roshambo, the filters i hate the most are the bilinear ones
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@K3Nv2, when the PS1 was out I had the PS1 the N64 and on PC I had the Voodoo 2 and glide looked soooo nice at the time 🥰
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Biliniar filters are OK but brz is better I like SuperEagle but out of all of them xbrz is probably the most computationaly expensive
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Emulation is the way to go for so many reasons NES get rid of flicker by turning off the sprite per line limit. Cheats? Ken Batocera is your friend almost every console has cheats in it

@Psionic Roshambo, most of the time the only cheats i use are bugfixes
