Nintendo has come to an agreement with Uberchips.com, an online store it sued for offering Team-Xecuter's Switch hacks and chips. Ohio-based Uberchips.com and its operator agreed to a $2 million judgment. The consent agreement, which has yet to be signed by the judge, also requires the store to destroy all remaining stock.
Uberchips was the only known operator of the ‘Team-Xecuter’ stores Nintendo went after. A separate case, filed against eight presumably foreign site operators, remains ongoing.

In that case, the game giant has thus far been unable to identify the owners. For this reason it recently asked for a permanent injunction so it can ask domain registrars and hosting companies to shut them down.

Nintendo back at their shit practices as always.
Praise the heavens for places like China and Russia, the much needed balance in this world.

Is there anything stopping people from buying these from China? I guess people will just have to wait longer to get their SX.

if anything, nintendo is "advertising" for sx os by going after them. they're making the fact that the switch is exploited more well known for anyone following nintendo. not a very bright move. that's what happened with sony when the ps3 was hacked. you're essentially telling the world the system is hacked by making a big deal of it. get over yourself, nintendo.

publically a tiny bit, but not really in the end. Payment services like paypal iirc don't like sales of modchips or similar so at times a user may have to go through some loop holes in order to obtain it.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes...

I don't agree with the outcome, but the chips are kinda... Well.. Illegal
They never seem to go after the people/groups that release the actual games. It's not like you can do much with just the chip by itself. It shouldn't even be illegal to do whatever you want to your console hardware anyway.

They'll just rename them on the Paypal invoice. You can still buy flash carts off eBay by searching for "nintendo 3ds sdhc".

    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.

    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.

    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
