That's right, it's time to update your Nintendo Switch, yet again. The latest system software update is now available to download, bringing the console to version 10.0.4. This update isn't just a stability one, however, as it fixes an issue users previously had in select regions where they couldn't register a new credit card to the Nintendo eShop from their system.

Fixed the following issue:
We have fixed the issue where it was not possible in some countries or regions to add funds using a new credit card or to register credit card information in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch.

Nothing major

This is probably the most major update in recent history.

This kind of funding is what makes Nintendo even possible.

Every time Team Xecuter announces any new sxos updates Nintendo responds with these desperate stability patches. Wouldn't be surprise if theres Nintendo ninjas among us on this site.

So I updated to SX OS 3.0 and somehow I updated while in SX OS (after SX OS 3.0 installed) updated to OFW 10.0.4 and I confirmed it installed by booting to original firmware from SX OS main boot menu. I have stealth mode activated and I was positive it was turned on.

Now games have a warning stating there is an update, is this normal? I can bypass the update warning and still play the game.

I am unsure if I just updated the emunand which I don't use, or if I actually updated to 10.0.4?

How do I get rid of the update warning?

thing is....they may be getting ready for an sx core/lite ban wave as they can easily tell the bct/bootrom got glitched as a modified bootrom is installed so basicly bans are more foolproof than non mariko units cause not even emunand can stop bans they'll just look at the bootrom/signing keys if they don't match instant ban

Indeed this is the real question... Any confirmation on this?

Usually if it is a simple update (10.0.1, 10.0.2, 10.0.3, etc., not a bigger one like 10.1.0), sigpatches do not need to be updated. That being said, I am on atmosphere with fusee-primary on 10.0.4, and no, sigpatches do not need to be updated.

    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.

    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.

    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.

I even explained to him about file sizes multiple times...
