Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 3: Vehicle Kit Announced

Nintendo has just announced the third Nintendo Labo Kit. It involves several different types of vehicles, each with their own cardboard tool to pilot them, as well as a key and a pedal. Shown in the trailer is a car, a plane, and a submarine. It arrives on Nintendo Switch on the 14th of September. It will retail at $69.99.

I can definitely see them adding support for these controllers in Mario Kart 8, too. Hopefully we'll get updates with more depth than just Labo control schemes, though, haha.
A new attack should be papercut :P

That flightstick toycon reminds me of my idea for a Star Fox game on Wii/Wii U

I hope Nintendo Labo : Toy Con 4 will be Cooking Game Set like Cooking Mama Game...
1) Toy Knife...
2) Toy Blender / Mixer...
3) Toy Oven...
4) Toy Stove...
I think it will expand Labo market to Little girls... because all the Labo offer so far was more attractive for Little boys...

I mean, I'm sure girls enjoy the current Labo lineup, too.

Damn that boy in the trailer almost got an orgasm ... this has to be false marketing, it can't be that good.

That’s what people always say, but then it turns out to be fun!

Also, I’m sure Nintendo will bring out an update for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe that allows you to stick that piece of cardboard onto your guts so you can use it as an controller, just like the Toy-Con bike controller.

That's surprising uncreative. The most normal PC input devices made for gaming after mouse/keyboard and gamepad come to console as cardboard. Of course the fishing rod was made for consoles before too, but it wasn't that commonplace as joysticks and steering wheels (once where). I'm disappointed.

I wonder if anyone is trying to make 3D printable replacements/alternatives yet for when the cardboard starts breaking down.
Would be fun to see some interesting 3D printed contraptions using this.
The price is still a bit much at sixty a pop for a mini game and some cardboard.
Eh it's essentially this era's mario paint so it's okay but I hope they try to take the concept further especially when asking so much for it.
On the Wii a plastic shell the Wii Zapper came with a mini game but was instantly useful with other games yet was just a small 20 bucks. (yeah with inflation it's probably double that now but still)
Either the games have a ton of content or that is some fancy premium card board.

I do have my fingers crossed they'll make more light gun variants and maybe encourage light gun games to come back and utilize the cardboard controller standard.
Actually now I think about it, this does sort of create a control type standard that could be reused in a lot of other games so that might be nifty to see a lot of games being compatible with unique controls.
Especially if we can 3D print something a little handier for ourselves.
Options are nice at least.

At least for now Nintendo is selling replacment cardboards for the already released Labo packages, but in the future that indeed would be helpful.

That's not going to happen. The Joycon based pointer function is not accurate enough for that and it hardly makes sense to have that kind of action games with something that has to be re-calibrated all the time. People already where annoyed with the re-calibration during Zelda Skyward Sword, in a shooter that's unbearable. As for actual light guns you need CRT TVs (the old big one before the "flatscreens") for them to work, if you want something like that you have to use a technology like WiiRemotes and sensorbar or something like the Playstation Move technology.

The motorbike already is compatible with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but I don't see Nintendo adding a ton of game compatibility.
