Hi,
my circlepad/slidepad broke yesterday and now I'm looking for a way to save my dsiware titeles (bought on the 3ds system).
Is there any way to transfer the dsiware from one 3ds to a new one?
(I don't want to send my 3DS to Nintendo because it'll take weeks for them to return it to me.)

First of all, if you linked a Club Nintendo account to the eShop, it should allow you to redownload them with a new 3DS (I would double-check this with Nintendo first though), as long as you linked the same account. I can't guarantee it though.

Second, there is a 3DS Transfer feature for 3DS to 3DS transfers, but it is not available until a future update. That's what it says when you try to use it under System Settings>Other Settings>System Transfer (Page 3).

It sounds to me like you're considering just buying a 3DS. Honestly, that's pretty dumb. I have NO idea how you managed to destroy the circle pad already, but send it to Nintendo - that is the BEST thing you can do. It should be under warranty and therefore free (apart from shipping costs, of course). Depending on where you live though, it might not be Nintendo but a licensed repair center.

I have no idea about Germany, but I know that it is a different company in New Zealand who is licensed to do repairs and not Nintendo who does them, and I would presume they would be much quicker (albeit bloody expensive, else I would have got them to fix my Nintendo stuff that decided to commit suicide).

yea, you should send it to Nintendo, we have in Germany 2/3 years of warranty on all electronics.
Normally the shop where you bought it, can give you a 3DS till they get yours back.
At least thats what happened when my DS broke and I brought it to GameStop.

The 3ds should still be under warranty for sure.

That said, the 3ds to 3ds transfer is NOT available yet, it's coming in a later update. Currently you can only do DSi to 3DS (but no 3DS to dsi)

Thanks a lot for your answers.
I've sent it to Nintendo.

My plan was to get a replacement from Amazon and transfer the dsiware to my new 3DS, then send the old one back to Amazon. That would have been a lot faster than sending it to Nintendo. So I'll have to wait now.
