NFC Emulation

Hey, as most of you know, a lot of phones now have built in nfc.
like the maxlander and amiq(not sure how to spell it) emulates amoboos/skylanders figures using nfc, im wondering if anyone is developing an app for android (most likely rooted) if ive missed it, and if its impossible, please explain why

It would be nice if Amiibos work, but I haven't heard of anything. I know you can buy that $200 puck thing, but it's pricy.
