I'd love it if they brought back the old NES style cartridge.
It felt good in your hands, and even putting it into the NES felt satisfying compared to putting in a CD/DVD/BluRay.

But, they're more likely to use something that will be much harder to copy to try prevent piracy for a few weeks.

Cartridges fit that specification - discs can (sometimes) be read by other drives, but for a cartridge, it is proprietary. A dumper would have to build a specialised piece of hardware to dump a cartridge based game.
