I recently got a bunch of wads working on through EmuNand but realized that I would have to setup Neek2o if I wanted to be able to play WiiWare titles. I followed one of Cyan's guides and had to compile my own sneek(against my will). After spending multiple hours troubleshooting I finally got everything setup. I was on one of the last steps. I had to bootup neek from Usb Loader Gx, as I attempted it told me my "neek path selection failed". I was fairly certain I had everything setup right but double-checked anyway. I tried booting up neek again after checking my paths and this time it worked! I waited on a black screen for a bit, then the health and safety warning showed up, I pressed A, then it was nothing but a black screen.

According to Cyan's guide I was supposed to setup a clock and be able to see menu's etc but I got none of that. To make things more confusing I tried booting it up again but the same thing happened. "Neek path selection failed" -> health and safety screen -> darkness. I figured it was working in some way so I tried loading up Castlevania Rebirth by switching the game setting to use Neek. I booted up the game and it told me "Neek path selection failed". I was confused, but I tried booting up the game again and to my delight it worked.

I wouldn't say it's really a problem, more-so just an oddity. I restarted my Wii and it booted up Rebirth without a problem this time. I guess I have to hit that error anytime I try loading up a game for the first time in neek. Anyone know why this is?

Also a couple unrelated questions,

1). Previously I couldn't play NES games I would get some missing save file issue pop up. Not sure why but it seems to work in Neek mode. This makes me feel like I should just change loader settings to always load games in Neek. Is there anything wrong with booting all games up in Neek?

2). There are still a handful of games in USB loader GX that show up as random number and letters. I tried loading up the cover art and other stuff for all the games but it always tells me it couldn't find x amount of files. Again this isn't a big problem but it kind of ticks me off by how ugly and unorganized it looks.

Thanks!

Here's my sysCheck just in case you want it.

only ps5 updated to latest firmware can go on psn, jailbroken ones just don't use psn or they risk getting flagged or banned, altho spouting profanity in online play alredy does that
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Keep current Gen consoles stock mod last gen imo

Anyone dumb enough to get banned for spouting profanity deserves it.

Then how come you do it and don't get banned ? or is it a question of getting caught doing it ?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
wtf is the point of banning swearing in games? that's utterly a dumb decision

the new generation playing MWII won't be as hardened as the previous one playing original MW2
  • Veho @ Veho:
What's the point of video games? Kids playing video games won't be as hardened as the previous ones getting shoved down a hillside.
