Are you plugging it in the back ports?

at the end i managed to use FAT32 on it via cfg usb loader.

You don't HAVE to have a Y cable. Only if you have a shitty external HD. I run a single USB cable into the back of the wii u with no extra power cable and my USB HD works perfectly
