.Nca files in a switch

I have painstakingly gone through every folder in the content file. I have about 243 .nca files on my switch. I have about 43 games on my switch, so that is about 200 .nca files. why did i do this

Afaik system applications and libraries also use nca files.
Whenever I update my firmware, I see dozens of nca files getting installed/overwritten.
