My 2DS is European (UK/Ireland), but I cannot play the US version of Sonic Lost World.

Actually Luma3DS has all "basic" settings turned on by defaults. So region-free, FIRM0/1 protection, reboot patches, etc. are all setup for you. What options are checked in luma settings? (The menu that appears when you boot with select held)
Do you think if Luma Locale Switcher would help them with their problem? That's how I got my US copy of ACNL to work properly on my JP n3DS.You are welcome!

Maybe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's worth a try if the OP is up for trying it out.Do you think if Luma Locale Switcher would help them with their problem? That's how I got my US copy of ACNL to work properly on my JP n3DS.
Enable game patcher: Enables the following features:
- The region/language emulation feature allows some games which need a specific language to be set to work, and DLCs for foreign games to load.
- Create a file named locale.txt in the game's folder.
- Inside the file,
- Put 3 characters for the region ("JPN", "USA", "EUR", "AUS", "CHN", "KOR", "TWN").
- Put an empty space.
- Put 2 characters for the language ("JP", "EN", "FR", "DE", "IT", "ES", "ZH", "KO", "NL", "PT", "RU", "TW").
- For example, to play Pokémon™ Y in Japanese language and region:
- Create 0004000000055E00/locale.txt.
- Put in JPN JP.
- Save.
Thanks, but where is the game's folder?Maybe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's worth a try if the OP is up for trying it out.
@OP
From wiki since I wouldn't be able to do a step by step justice.
Wait, I accidentally cropped out the wrong part, my badThanks, but where is the game's folder?

Launch it. Choose Titles -> Sonic Lost World -> Change Region -> Try USA and see if that works. Change Language -> EN. That should hopefully make it work.Ok, I have Luma Locale Switcher, now what do I do?

Hmm. Is there a UK/EUR copy of Lost World you could try? Don't know anything about Sonic games and their releases. Try changing the language in Luma Locale Switcher to EUR.No. It doesn't work.
Are you sure the cart itself is not broken? And what exactly is the error? (Why did I not ask this first?)No. It doesn't work.
It's a downloaded version. Are you sure the cart itself is not broken? And what exactly is the error? (Why did I not ask this first?)
Do you have a bad install? Thanks for the help, but I'll just find a EU version of Lost World.
