Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath brings fresh blood and friendship to the game

WB Games gave Mortal Kombat 11 fans some serious love today, dropping a new trailer outlining some major updates to the fighting game's latest installment. The big news is the official reveal of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, a major DLC expansion for the game. Aftermath will bring a new narrative to the table, along with three characters: series veterans Fujin and Sheeva, and surprise guest fighter RoboCop, voiced by Peter Weller himself. The game will also be getting a free update adding new stages, stage fatalities, and friendships to the game on the same day. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will be available digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on May 26th, and will cost $39.99.

Yeah...no. I'll take 2.5D MK over slow-wannabe-Tekken-and-Soulcalibur-ripoff MK any day of the week regardless of the pricing. And while I agree that things should all be available at launch, at the same time, MK and Injustice has been offering more value at launch than some other fighting games have recently *coughs in SFV at launch and most ArcSys games before Xrd Rev going to Xrd Rev 2, as well as Tekken 7*.

I just hate all this DLC at launch kombat pack was $40 and now aftermath is another $40. I'll use myself as an example when Xenoverse 2 came out i pre-ordered it for $60 then I bought the season pass for $30 when the announced the tournament of power and hit and then I purchased an extra set pack for $15 so right there I spent $100 on a game.... meanwhile on the switch I re downloaded the game and all DLC for free. I just miss the good old days where you had to play the game to unlock characters instead of.buy them

I bought so much DLC in the past and recently with Pokémon Sword sometimes it gets overwhelming

They did the same thing in the arcades. How many revisions of MKII were there before all of the moves and fatalities were in it? How about MKIV?

But the absolute WORST part of MK11 on the Switch, is that you can't enjoy the whole game and unlock the things without being online. I will never give this franchise my money ever again. That was a ludicrous decision.
