BUT
It is not really a matter of Speed. It has turned out in the last Years that this Factors are more important:
- The Brand <- Most imortant !!!
- The "Speed" Class of the SD Card (very important too !!!)
- microSD via Adapter or normal "real" SD Cards
- how formatted
So it is not really important to say"The Wii´s SD Card Slot can read up to 15 MB/sec - when the SD Card/microSD Adapter is a Piece of
- Transcend where for me the 1.Choice because the are very relible (my oldest in use Card is near 9 Years old)
- Kingston are also very good.
- if possible, please avoid the microSD Adapter Solution - Most of them are really cheapest Crap.....
- My "good/positive" Experiences with Verbatim / SanDisk (SD Cards not microSD !) weren't that good.
for my part with SANDISK, it is a real success (do not buy it just anywhere, prefer specialized or recognized stores)
you have to look at the writing and reading speed for SD cards, also important as pointed out @Alexander1970
