Well, it could be patched out by someone here. It sounds like a relatively easy fix, e.g. by changing a boolean.

This gamesave is for anyone who unfortunately encounters this game breaking bug. Use your favourite save backup tool such as Checkpoint to restore the gamesave.

Savepoint for this is saved just before playing Shy Guys Finish Last.
