Hardware Kinect wont work

Hi i received an xbox 360 from craigslist and it turned out the thing was banned from live. The kinect wont work on it now and i was wondering why and if there is anyway to make the kinect to work again

what dashboard update is the system on
it may be under the needed for kinect


you might want to use normal color when posting , some color can be hard to read on the dark theme

Well it worked for a while on it then it just stoped. Do both the xbox and the kinect update? sorry if i seemed misinformed im more of a nintendo guy this is for my little brother lol

Maybe you just have a faulty Kinection.

How are you getting power to the Kinect? Via USB or the AC adaptor?

To OP.
Kinect sensor should be either in the port on the back (phatty) or in the specially designed Kinect port on the Slim.
May I suggest you RGH the 360.
Since it's already banned from live, you can load homebrew and games from the internal HDD if you RGH it.
Along with that, FSD 3 is also compatible with the Kinect.
