- Pre-ordered my PSV today. If you were one of the 5 people who was watching the shoutbox yesterday, you would have seen me complaining about the high price that electronics have come to these days. But then... I remembered my bigass collection of Wii games that I could just trade in. And I gave in. Got a pretty penny off of 8 games (101 dollars? Meh, I expected more, but oh well, the games sucked anyways) and put it down for my Wifi model PSV. I already have a nice amount saved up, so I should be able to afford it as well as Gravity Daze on launch. Fuck yes. And be sure to add me if you get your PSVs too!

(My PSN is Slyarukai, if they use that)

- I am addicted to DragonNest. It's probably the only MMO I could get into. The animation is surprisingly fluid on my comp (and my computer's specs aren't exactly stellar) and the beat-em-up/RPG/social gameplay just blends together perfectly. I might go and search for a guild if I can get the chance.

- Twitter twitter twitter. Follow me. I tweet all kinds of random bullshit. @Slyakin. There.

- Vanquish came in the mail a few days ago. Thank goodness for uncles and aunts giving me free money. And thanks to prowler_ for talking about it and getting me interested. It's... BEAUTIFUL. The story already sucks ass, but I can forgive it because of how amazing the main character looks just with his fancy-ass suit. "Oh man, Russians attacking America? FUCK YEAH, SUIT TIME"

- Minecraft Aether Mod is amazing. 'Nuff said.

- I beat the FF5 4 Job challenge! It was a fucking bitch to do, but I managed... Somehow. My pic is here in the list. Just find my name (Slyakin) and click the star to see my screeny.

I really want to pre-order a PSV, but I only have $30 at the moment and don't see myself getting the other $220 I need just to get the system before launch day. Sadly, I'm not rolling in games or systems with good trade in value either, so that's a no go.

Congrats on your pre-order though. I am officially jelly.

NEVER EVER trade in games. If you sell them yourself on eBay you would have got much more for them. Example: I took my GameBoy SP to EBGames and they offered me $15, I was like no GTFO and sold it on eBay for $50. That was the reason I started using eBay.

I could have done that... but...

One: My Paypal is shared. If I sold on eBay, the money goes on there, and my parents have the strange knack of spending any extra money on sight. I've lost a few birthday presents that way...

Two: My parents are the only way I can even ship items (the post office is pretty far away) and if they find out I'm mailing my stuff to people outside my close friends, they'd freak out and probably shut down the Paypal for good.

Three: I'm drop dead lazy as fuck.

Oh boi, you play Dragon Nest!

If you're still playing when I get my new PC you're gonna be my teacher, right?
biggrin.gif

And the Aether mod is indeed amazing.

You should do what I did:

1) Hack Wii.
2) Get External Hard drive (not too expensive these days)
3) Rip entire collection to hard drive.
4) Sell physical copies of games.
5) Win!

Yup, I'd gladly teach you! Although, it's really easy to get into. The learning curve is perfect.

I had to add one extra step to that.

I do have a couple of DS games that go for about $25 - $30 new though that I no longer play. I suppose I could sell those to help myself out.

Oh, I thought you did have a Wii. Whoops!

Well, good luck on your money quest! I wish I could help.

Are you kidding? Open a new PayPal account (it's free, link it to your bank account) and bike to the post office. Your only valid explanation here is three.

I am thinking about pre-ordering the PSV but after the whole 3DS debacle...I better think it over more carefully.
Yeah, I was the same, but then I got thinking. Sony probably learned from Nintendo's mistake, and I'd rather have a launch system then a later system, for the sheer fact that I want this thing hacked.

Sad, I know, but I can't buy many games with the way I earn money. ;(

Well, 3 kind of goes into 2, and I can't really link it, seeing as I'm underage. :C

You don't need to be 18 to have a PayPal. I have one. Note, I'm not 18. It also works wonderfully. My friend has had a PayPal for years.

To remove funds or transfer funds in from a bank account, yes, you need a valid bank account. Otherwise, no, you don't. Of course, you also don't need to be 18 to have a bank account. Go open one if you have your own money.

Oh nice, so I can just use a Paypal with the money I earn from sales?
smile.gif

But then there's the problem with credit cards... Unless you don't need those either? It's been a while since I made my family Paypal; I remember trying and needing a credit card.

Okay! I've decided. Going to the bank and opening a bank account. Might as well get off my ass someday.

Creating a PayPal is a simple, painless process. Anywhere that accepts PayPal as a form of payment should be able to yank it right out of your account. You don't need a credit card, a debit card, anything like that.

you need at least a debit card, unless you want to send an e-check which isn't always accepted and takes forever to process. Alternatively you can get a paypal card just for funds in your paypal account. I believe they send it to you for free.
