If nothing else...read about wendys wifi....point 3.

Soo I got my own apartment acouple months ago. And I miss the net. Cause while I do love the internet much, I'm also very frugal and cautious. So i've been waitin to see how bills add up and see if I can squeeze an cable+internet bill into the monthly bonfire of bills which slip thru my hands...

But in the process of waiting for this determination I've made some discoveries.

1. I can easily live without constant internet. I get online during work to check my mail and look up acouple things on gbatemp. Also study for A+ tech exams and such.
But..I don't go crazy because I can't surf for hours.

2. Tv sucks just as much with cable/sat or over the air. So I'm not looking foward to cable really...just give me the simpsons once a night and plenty of WII games.


3. Wendys has excellent wifi. I'm currently in my car, pretty far from the building and getting an excellent signal. Not regulated...no internet blocks. steady 100+kB/s upload rate and 500+ download...with torrent support as well.
What gives wendys?? are you trying to make me love you...because you had me at frostys.

Anyway...I need to go home. Cause I'm paying for one now...

I didnt know Wendy's had wifi, I can never seem to find a WiFi signal where they say there is one.

you could buy/build a wifi antenna, and see if you can steal someone elses that forgot to set a password.

Yeah. The router they use, unfortunately, has a password set for admin access. I tried to go to 192.168.1.1 (the address of the gateway/Router) and it brought up the password page. But it did give me the model of router I was dealing with and I tried the default passwords for that router which you can easily look up online. but alas those did not work either.

There was no WEP or WPA tho. So its easy access for all. And I wonder if its on all the time, 24/7.

If I really wanted to be a dick I could set up an Evil twin wifi hack in the parking lot. But you know...I'm not that type of person. and since there is no wep anyway all the packets are fair game to sniffing and logging and junk. But again...I don't want to do that.

Anyway, good times wendys. and hopefully some of you out there have a wifi wendys too!
