In theory, I'd love to be on the latest moddable firmware, but is there any real reason? Is there anything I an do on 9.2 that I can't do on 9.0?

No real reason (that I"m aware of). Once you have EmuNand (and unlink it from Sysnand), then Sysnand is just... there.
