Even tho I'm an avid reader I rarely play VNs because I find overall pacing being to slow for a videogame. There are few exceptions, but...

Anyway, I finally sit down to play Dai Gyakuten Saiban from my heart in english and I quickly remembered while I dropped the original series on the second installment. The text in this game is so SLOW. It might be okay for some, but I was taught advanced reading techniques as a child, so I hate when games limit my speed by slow-paced text appearance. It's tolerable in some cases, but not in VN kind of game. Especially here, when text crawl as slow as pregnant turtle riding a pregnant snail. I know they tried to be smart and emulate human speech, but that annoys the hell of me. They just should give this game full VA instead.

I remember in Ace Attorney 2 I first try use cheats and completed save to enable fast forwarding text with button press (better than nothing), but it didn't work. For this game I wasn't able to find to cheats or appropriate save at all.

I know chances are very slim, but maybe there is some way to make text appear instant, or at least much faster? I think I won't bring myself to play this game otherwise.

Advanced reading techniques you say? That's highly interesting and awesome. How can someone get good at that? It sounds like a useful skill to have.

About GAA's text speed, you can cause the text to scroll in full instantly if you replay the case, if i'm not misremembering. A complete save file would do the trick then. Otherwise you can try emulation.
