I want to upgrade to a 4TB drive external, currently using a 1TB, will this work with MultiMan? The highest I've seen confirmed is 2TB.

You can't use more than 2TB on a hard drive, a 3TB one should recognized by the PS3 but you'll only be able to use 2 To of it. Maybe there's tricks to make it work but I've never seen anyone achieve that

you might be able to use separate partitions. I think some people use fat32 and ntfs on the same drive, since some things, like gamedata tool, only work with fat32. I don't use an external drive myself.
