is the rp2040 really bad?? vs instinct v6

Hello guys,

I am reading for a week now about the chips and i ordered a instinct v6 and tommorow i get an rp204.

But are those chips really so bad as i read everywhere, or are there be a mionimum of people with defects.
Because when it work the people don't complain or open topics.
what are the benefits of both chips?,
Should i better wait for the delivery of the instinct nx v6 black chip?

But how big is the change, i hate waiting and it is for my sons birthday and I think I not gonne make it with the instinct delivery.

You are better off using that instinct-nx v6

That's why you wanna be careful and pick the best option. Maybe get an Instinct-NX V6 or the old HWFLY core (w/o RP2040).

That guy that says its an rp2040 nothing more, how can i see if it is the old HWFLY core with RP2040?

All falsehoods, modchips are basically all the same and they all do the same thing. If you corrupt the nand, it depends on everything except the modchip. I speak from experience. Picofly never a problem. NEVER

With the old HWFLY, you need to ask the seller to provide you the one without the RP2040, because they're no longer sold.

Yea exactly , that what one of my friends did, he got two instinct-nx v6 black gave me the spare one.

Picofly and rp2040 chip use the same firmware but people in the picofly thread won't support it, you don't hear people using picofly say that they got corrupted nand.

I know 20 years ago more people had chip modded devices, u can buy all chips from anyware.

The bad talk about picofly is bullshit.
If they get corrupted nand is most likely because of installer error.

And that can also happen with your Hwfly/Instinct chips

In my case I already had 5 switches for repair where hwfly chips (not Hwfly Rp2040) been installed incorrect and they leaded to corrupted nands one was unfixable.


If done over 100+ picofly installs and never had one corrupted nand from it.

If u want to install a Picofly then do it with the supported boards I would suggest the Rp2040 Tiny (Original) and not the Hwfly Rp2040 or any clones cause we don't support them cause there is no diagrams of the chip.

I screwed up my switch.
The capacitor on sp2 is loose and now gone.
But the switch is still working on ofw.
Why is the cap there if the switch work without it.

I buy a new switch and try it al over, I ordered 0.5mm solder tip.
What temp are you using, and is liquid tin/solder safer?
