Yes it would be a matter of console serial spoofing but no one wants to poke that with a 10 foot rod because random consoles would start to get banned.

On Wii? No, because the entire WFC service was shut down two years ago. There's no service to be unbanned from.

Totally wrong, try Wiimmfi
I was assuming the post was referring to the official service, not Wiimmfi.

EDIT: But now checking the rest of the forum, it seems that everything's referring to Wiimmfi without explicitly saying so, so blah. Disregard.

Maybe its a good idea to rename this sub-forum to something like:
* Wii - Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection ⇒ Wiimmfi
* Wii - Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (nowadays Wiimmfi)

Or add another section for Wiimmfi.

I don't think it's a good idea to rename the forum's section to a service name.
The forum is divided in "game, network, hack, homebrew" for all consoles.
having this section titled "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection" is just a way to tell users that it's the section talking about all network related subjects (the wifi connection for the console of nintendo), that's not really used to tell who is the (non official) current network owner.
if it's renamed, it would be something more generic, like "network connection", because what would happen to old thread which were related to nintendo's network which will stay in that section?

I haven't and I have no problem with the current title. But adding "Wiimmfi" avoids misunderstandings and may lead people to this sub forum (as shown above).

why not add tags (like the trading forum has) which allow the user to specify which service they are on?

Go to the sub-forums page and count the topics, that have to to with:
* Nintendo WFC
* Wiimmfi
* Alt-WFC
Some topics touch 2 or all servers, but >85% talk about Wiimmfi.
I wonder if Alt-WFC is really active? However, Nintendo WFC is dead.

My main argument is, to lead Wiimmfi interested people to a Wiimmfi sub-forum, and the title "Nintendo WFC" is not helpful for it. And the trigger of my idea was, that sometimes people are astonished, that we are talking about Wiimmfi here.

    @Psionic Roshambo, Yeah, BonziBuddy was both spyware and ad-ware. It collected children's personal information without consent as well as display fake Windows popups.

    the legal drinking age here in the US is 21, as some of you may know, but i think either it should be 18 or the age you're an adult should be 21.

  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    and i know what you may be thinking, "why become an adult at 21? doesn't that mean that banging an 18 year old would be illegal?"
    first of all, being in a relationship with someone who's 18 is technically ok, as long as it started when they were 18, but the age gap is still weird depending on how old you are. besides, the age of consent differs between different states

  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    also my reasoning for adult age being 21 is because the reason that's the drinking (and now smoking) age is because it "gives them more time to think rationally and not drive drunk"
    so you should have that extra time to mature and think rationally before going to serve in the military or vote
    +1
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    tl;dr the "adult" age and the legal drinking age (and voting age) here in the US should be the same

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    What about making kids wait till 18 or 21 to drive? And yea is messed up, you can join army and die for your country at age 18, but you can't drink alcohol or smoke a cig til 21, is ridiculous

    If someone is in the military they should be allowed to smoke and drink at 18.... Would help drive recruitment lol
