Some of the iPod touch gamers might want to know that a jailbreak for the iPod touch 2nd gen is on the way and can be expected within the next few days, for those if you who dont have an iPod touch. Jailbreaking is basically like using a flashcard on ds. Allows you to fully customize you iPod and download Games not availiable in the app store

2g?
never knew apple released ipod touch 2g
whats the difference between them ( first and second generation ipod touch)?
the first one can be jailbroken easily even with the new firmware (2.0)

I have a 2G it is slimmer and sleeker then the original, has a faster cpu, has a built in speaker, better battery and external volume controls. If a jailbreak comes soon p1ngpong will be pleased!

Aww fuck man, I JUST updated to 2.2 yesterday because I didn't think there was going to be a jailbreak soon. Hopefully this will work for me!

For people on 2.2, it is still ridiculously easy. The only difference is, it would have to be QuickPwn style. You would need to be told to hold home and power for X amount of seconds, etc. etc, and it would also need a 2.1.1 ipsw so it can upload the 2.1.1 iBSS, so that the exploit can be utilized.

QUOTEThe main point here is that it is gone in 2.2, but a tool they make can easily upload a 2.1.1 iBSS to DFU since it would be considered legit Apple code.

Im not saying I understand all that, but it sounds like it dosent matter if your on 2.2, hopefully!

Actually 1G is technically a bit slimmer... and I wouldn't say sleeker since the backside curve makes it look more toy-ish.

To be honest I prefer the feel of the 1G, its nicer to hold onto, but I like the speaker and volume controls on the 2G, which is what swung me into getting it.

The 1 and 2G are about the same price right now, where I am anyway.

I guess I should start saving up for one now. I've been wanting to replay Earthbound, but didn't want to play it on my computer.

@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

@BigOnYa, i only have like 1 or 2 mb sec

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.

@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
