Ignore Function

I tried to add a user name to this list and I'm getting this message.

Couldn't add the following: ********** This could be because they are already in your list or they are not affected by the ignore list or the member name does not exist.

They aren't staff and I pasted their name from their profile, so I haven't typed it incorrectly. Any ideas?

Try going to their profile, hit Options under their avatar, and choose "Ignore User". I think I've had this issue myself and currently the only solution is to go to their page and do that.

It's working for me. I tried ignoring you and it works. I'm doing this from the User CP btw.

Just hit the find user, add the name to the list and update.

Unignored now obviously.

Thank you everyone. I just tried it again, the 'normal' way and it worked. Finally! I just had a thought, they are a newish user could that be related to it?

Edited to say I have used this function before so I do know how to use it honest.

the ignore function is useless the assholes just come and post in your portal annoying you needs to be so they can't contact you ANYHERE
