confirmed it works, tried on 3.0.1 with a few additional steps
Haven't you updated your NAND prior making EmuNAND ? I'm trying to see if anyone else tried to update with ChoidujourNX from within the EmuNAND itself.
I'm pretty confident it would work if I updated my NAND, generated an EmuNAND then downgraded my NAND back to 4.1.0, but how would we do then when a newer firmware will be out ?

ive tried it again (by deleting emunand, re-enabling it again) and updated the emunand itself to 6.0.0 from original-nand 4.1.0 (via choidujournx) thats how i can confirm it works both methods

but how would we do then when a newer firmware will be out ?
1. boot sx os emunand
2. use choi to update the emunand

Are you using Choidujour 1.0.1 ? It's crashing on those errors :

yep, 1.0.1 im not entirely sure why ur experiencing errors, theres a video somewhere on youtube (cant link) with links to the switch firmware files and pretty sure if ur updating from 4.x u need to get 6.0.0-4.0

I went from 4.1.0 (exfat) straight to 6.0.0-5.0 (exfat) directly and it worked out

That's exactly what I'm trying to do : 4.1.0 exFAT to 6.0.0-5.0 exFAT. Tried with a clean SD, latest SDFiles from tumGER, checked again all my 6.0.0-5.0 firm files... Still the same error. I'll wait to see if another method comes out as this one doesn't work :/

Guys another question:
Does emunand just seperate the Firmware/System or also all userdata (installed nsps, ...)?
When i now upgrade SX-OS to 2.0 and create an emunand, will all my currently installed nsps, savestates be copied into it?
Can i then factory reset my normal sysnand?

thx

Does this work on OFW 1.0. I was informed that sxos 2.0 wasn't even compatible with ofw 1.0, so maybe there isn't a way to create emunand and update it?

Tried to update 4.1.0 to 6.0.0-5.0 from emuNAND with choidujour NX but got an error during the flashing process (1/6) due to hekate.ipl (missing?) .

Then I had to force shutdown using the power button and rebooted to emuNAND with a blue screen (bricked) . I decided to delete and make a new emuNAND .

Any advice on what didn't run well and how to get a proper emuNAND update?

Thanks!

I took the longer but safer way, cleaning all software installed and updating SysNAND to 6.0.0-5.0 with ChoiduJourNX on Hekate CTCaer 4.2, made the EmuNAND (20Gb), booting again in SysNAND and downgrading it back to 4.1.0, then booting in the new EmuNAND and installing back everything plus the new updates I couldn't install before.
I hope we will have a reliable alternative to update it well before 6.0.0-5.0 is outdated.

Then, try to updating the emuNAND to 5.1.0 first then to 6.0.0-5.0.
PS. I also updated my emuNAND from 5.1.0 to 6.0.0-5.0 with ChoiDujourNX (because I got a ban ), and it worked.

Interestingly, I was able to update Emunand from 4.01 to 4.1 using this method. But no higher FW's will work. Tried updating from 4.01 (and 4.1) within Emunand with choidujourNx to 5.x and 6.x firmwares with no luck.

I am on the exact same situation as you. So here are the steps I took to bring my emuNAND to fw 6.0.0:

Requirements: Latest build of ChoiDujourNX installed into your homebrew dir and a copy of N's v6.0.0 FW files (google for multiple ways to get them)

1. boot on your OFW and change the theme to the opposite of your preference (if you prefer dark, change it to white or vice-versa). This will help you to visually identify which of the fw versions you're booting from now on.
2. Boot SX OS while keeping the vol+ pressed so you can get into SXOS menu
3. Setup emuNAND
4. Make sure EmuNAND enabled is shown on the SX OS main menu and click "Boot custom FW"
5. Make sure you boot into emuNAND version of 4.1.0 (as it was just copied from your OFW). This can be confirmed by going into the album and checking if the SXOS logo states "SX OS V2.0 EMUNAND". If it says just "SX OS V2.0", you're on sysNAND. Reboot to SX OS menu with long-press Vol+ and go back to the beginning of this step!
6. Go into the settings and change the theme to your preference. Now we can always identify which one is booting since you'll have te visual queue
7. go into homebrew, run ChoiDujourNX, select your NX6 fw folder, select exfat or no-exfat (depending on your taste) and proceed.
8. When finished, you'll be prompted to reboot. Even with SXOS running, doing so will reboot you to your OFW 4.1.0. You'll be able to easily spot this as you'll see the old theme showing up -> This is OK. Just long-press power until you get to the power menu and power off your console
9. Boot SXOS again with your jig+dongle/px/phone/whatever

You should now be on 6.0.0 emuNAND while your 4.1.0 is preserved together with your fuses. This can be confirmed if you boot Hekate and check that you still retain 5 burnt fuses instead of 7
Bonus on top of this, if you go back and boot the OFW 4.1.0, the card slot is still usable.

Hey there, thanks for your tutorial. I tried doing everything you said, however, when I try to install FW 6.0 through ChoiDujourNX within the EmuNAND, I get a bunch of error messages and the console crashes. The error message says something like "Error 0xf601 deleting placehld for [number].nca"

Got the same error here updating 5.1 to 6.0.0-5.0 on SX OS 2.0 EmuNAND.
Better wait for a futur update to fix this issue.

I just tried, it works on SX OS 2.1
If I update the "emunand" , autoRCM is not mandatory isn't it? I thought so, 'cause when I boot it I always go through Sx os to start up. Am I correct or mistaken something? thanks

Just updated with ChoidujourNX from 6.0.0-5.0 to 6.0.1, no errors on SX OS 2.0.1 EmuNAND and exFAT still working :yay: (had officially the driver since 4.1.0).
