I have a really old nintendo DS and it was a special edition and I love it so much. It's taken some wear over the years though, so I'm trying to resuscitate it. It's been water damaged twice, the first time the bottom screen fogged up a little bit, and the second time even more. We tried it in a bag full of rice but it only took a little bit of the water out. I need help fixing it, please!! I would hate to not be able to use it anymore.

Here's a picture, I'm sorry the quality isn't so good but you can at least make out the damage on the screen. It's not damaged internally as far as I know. https://40.media.tumblr.com/cccbb81e5ba8c1a47f03e17b03a911c8/tumblr_nr3jb2DEO71t5azwso1_540.jpg

you are lucky that it turns on and works,
but when water alone does not wreck electronics, lots electronics wreck some time later because of corrosion

when a device gets water on it, first thing is REMOVE THE BATTERIES. just turn it off is not enough, completely remove the battery! (if its a phone don't waste time waiting for it to turn off)
if water touches the circuit while there is power, it will go "puff" "kaput" (it is ruined)

however, if water touches elecronics when there is no power, only 2 things happen. corrosion and if you didn't properly cleaned it can lead to short circuit when you turn it on...

rice is a myth.. i had read somewhere someone made several tests that showed that rice is one of the least effective anti humidy products.. because it only absorbs water when its hot
(i also tried rice on my ds games only to have them cover in the rice powder and they needed cleaning)

you really should open the console, use a paper towel to remove the most you can in every place and then leave it on a bag with silica gel...
silica gel is a pretty good thing for humidity

as for the screen, you may need to replace it later if it stays like that...
