I updated my Switch to the newest firmware. I also updated Atmosphere, Hekate and Kosmos. Everything is working fine. But when I open Hekate I see that the icons are corrupt.

How can I solve it?

Likely, yes but I would recommend to reinstall Hetake and Atmosphere just to make sure everything goes correctly.

Yes It works. I reinstalled Hetake and Atmosphere. Is it possible to use own icons? I want a Nintendo Switch Logo icon with the OFW and an Atmosphere icon with the CFW.

I have looked it up and it is possible but just haven't found a way to get it working. :P

You absolutely can use custom icons. I currently have all mine in green like so (but have a pantload of others that I swap out on occasion just for fun):

Here is my hekate_ipl.ini that references my graphics directory where I store all my logos and splash screens. Don’t copy paste…just use the example logopath (splash screen) and icon to customize as you see fit.

[config]
autoboot=1
autoboot_list=0
bootwait=1
backlight=55
autohosoff=0
autonogc=1
updater2p=1
bootprotect=0

[Atmosphere CFW]
payload=bootloader/payloads/fusee.bin
emummcforce=1
kip1=atmosphere/kip_patches/*
logopath=/graphics/splash/atmosphere.bmp
icon=/graphics/icons/current/atmosphere.bmp
id=atmo

[Stock SysNAND]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
stock=1
emummc_force_disable=1
icon=/graphics/icons/current/stock.bmp
id=sysn

[SX OS]
payload=bootloader/payloads/sxos.bin
logopath=/graphics/splash/sxos.bmp
icon=/graphics/icons/current/icon_sxos.bmp
id=sxos

Attached a zip file with my green series icons.
Fuck it…here’s my entire customized graphics folder.

I just unzip it at the top level of my SD card and then reference them via hekate_ipl.ini. It will give yiu a custom splash upon launch of each entry (such as Lakka or Android or SXOS or whatever.)

Enjoy!

—————————————————————————————-

EDIT: looks like the old version was making an extra “graphics” directory.

sd:/graphics/graphics/xxx is wrong.
it should be just sd://graphics/xxx <—- only one level of “graphics”

Updated the pack with a new version. This one has the correct directory structure to match the hekate_ipl.ini icon and logopath format I posted above.

That's exactly where I was looking for:). The Atmosphere en Switch icons are beautiful. Somehow the background does not work. Do you have any suggestions?

If you unzip them all at the root of your SD card it will create a new directory called /graphics and you can use the icon and logopath variables in my hekate_ipl.ini.

If you post your hekate ini file I might be able to catch something.

When you say “background”, what are you expecting to show up where? There are different “rules” for different presentations of the larger bmp files.

I mean with background the splash screen. Excuse me. I used the wrong word.

I dunno why everyone thinks that he has to edit the hekate_ipl.ini...
Just put the bootlogo.bmp into the /bootloader folder and enable the splash (and duration) in the settings. Save it, profit.

I know he has to edit the hekate_ipl.ini because I put the pack together and made it so each entry has its own splash screen. Do you have change for a $100?

Change this:
logopath=/graphics/splash/Hekate.bmp
To this:
logopath=/graphics/splash/hekate.bmp

Also check and make sure you don’t have two graphics directories.

I just unzipped it and it made it two levels, like this:
/graphics/graphics/splash/hekate.bmp

Rename the first folder to something else and then move the second nested graphics folder to the root of your SD card and your splash should work when you launch CFW.

EDIT1: updated the original graphics.zip file to only have one /graphics directory.

EDIT2: double check your other icon and logopath directories to make sure they are pointing to a real images. I use the “current” directory for a standardized name and then copy whatever icon I want to use to the ”current” directory using the standardized name. This way I never have to change hekate_ipl.ini once its all set up.
