Menu skinning could EASILY be done... we just need a nice app that gives us access to the wii's files easily.

From what I've seen via dumps, all the the wii's images are either displayed through opera and thus are just gifs and pngs, or are in tpl format, which we already have editors/converters for.

The thing is, when the wii runs across a corrupted image it pitches a fit.... I'm talking hard brick, fit-pitching. Editing the system images could be dangerous unless you were absolutely positively sure the images would work. Other images, like the buttons (which are html based) the shop channel... the download animations, ect could be replaced without too much danger though. It's the actual channel menu images that are dangerous to hack.
