You need an extra patch in atmosphere/kip_patches to run custom nsps. There's a version for 5.1w/exfat in the Atmosphere thread, otherwise wait for other versions.

Well that explains why my HBL NSP no longer works since I updated. What about the LayeredFS version? I can't seem to get that to work either. It just loads Undertale as normal. :|

I haven't used AM2R but layeredfs is working for me in atmosphere, just tested with NES Online. Have you got it in /atmosphere/titles/ ?

I do, and I've tried it with two different title ids. It's strange. The release comes with one that doesn't match any known game, yet changing it to that of Undertale proper has no effect either. Quite frankly, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with this anymore. For the record, I can also confirm LayeredFS to be functional in general, as I've had a qlaunch theme running for a while now already. It seems to just be this specifically that's giving me a hard time.

AM2R isn't made in game maker studio, its made in an older version of game maker. The only version that will work on the switch is 1.1. The only way to get it to work is to download the reconstructed source code, game maker data sync, original AM2R 1.1, import to game maker studio 2, enable DnD, tweak the code a little to fix syntax and compile errors. The fake "developers" were against me bringing the game to the switch. What I mean by fake developers is, they are not the developers of the game, the original developer did not hand over development to them. Anything they do to the original game should not be considered an update but instead a modification. I say this because these "developers" are using the same open source reconstructed code that I am using, yet they wont release their modified source code, which means none of their updates, upgrades and mods will make it into the switch version of the game.

There is a AM2R NSP out there I helped @PiracyForTheMasses make. Works fine but does not save.

tried version 1.1 with layeredFS and did not work, tried also Breath of the Nes and same thing, tried even making a custom NSP, and both while launching them i get :
"The software was closed because an error occurred."

Any hints on this?

For Undertale or for Metroid? i fot the 1.1 for metroid, but i got the BASE from undertale, should i update undertale to 1.1?

AM2R, the version you used, was it the version I released specifically for the switch or was it the original 1.1 pc version.

It was the original 1.1 version for PC.

Tried also Breath Of The Nes as Layered and did not work, tried it to make a CUSTOM NSP replacing the .wim file, also crashed.

there's a Switch port of Undertale out, and someone has been able to use LayeredFS to replace Undertale with another game called Downwell (another project created with GameMaker Studio). The process was exactly the same. Just switch the data files (which share the same file names) and voila, everything works (except in handheld mode only).

That's goddamn amazing.

I have never messed with the breath of the nes game. All I know is no one could get the pc version of am2r to work on the switch so I ported it. I am slowly fixing bugs, glitches etc.

It's very intriguing to hear that there is a custom NSP out there though. Doesn't that mean that the recompile or something actually worked? But has anyone ever figured out a way to fix saving? That isn't exactly a game you want to play without the ability to save. Or is that what you mean about this editing stuff?
