I'm wondering if anyone has cracked open the gray shell around the battery to get to the cell inside. (Similar to the PSP battery.) I'm re-using the old battery for another project, but the outer shell is a bit too bulky. I just want to do it safely, and would like to avoid using blades if at all possible.
(Sure, I could order a $7 LiPo off eBay or Amazon, but I'm trying to keep from creating e-waste. I always repurpose my batteries for other projects if I can.)
