ROM Hack Good News Bad News

The fact that someone would fully translate a game that's 70% text, and is coming out in the US in three months, and completely ignore many Japanese games that will come out in the US... NEVER, not only puzzles me, but it is in fact the cancer killing gbatemp.

I don't understand it either, but there is a massive Pokemon following, so I suppose there are reasons for everything.

Well, the reason I started my Engrish patch was because:
1. PaperMagician died or something

2. I like teh lools

3. I wanted to join the 'competition' for the best pre-release HG/SS patch.

BTW, I'll continue working on my patch after the US release, in fact, I'm probably going to port my translation to the US version.

I'm perfectly happy waiting until the english release to be honest... I've got more than enough other games and work till then xD

How bad is the engrish in this patch? I'm still deciding if I should take the time to play through SS with this patch or not.

When the final patch is released, I may do it just to see how funny the Engrish is... Truth be told, I'm more interested in playing the Google Translate version than the official translation (Pokemon is a bit... formulaic for my taste).

I get the same thing, but when i go to check what item it was, there is no new items in the bag, may get to be a bit of a problem if you pick key items up off the ground, its been that long since i've played silver, i cant remember if you do or not.

With the game now officially translated and released,
and the link no longer working, (I'm assuming it was removed after the official game was released)
I see no reason to leave this thread open.
