I like to listen to music while I'm doing work at school, and I tend to forget to bring my laptop charger with me, so my computer sometimes runs out of power before the end of the day due to the last few music players I've tried using up too much memory all the time. Does anyone know of any good, lightweight music players that have a decent shuffle function, allow Last.fm scrobbling and don't mess with the sound of my music?
Here's a list of the music players I've used so far and reasons as to why I've stopped using them:
Here's a list of the music players I've used so far and reasons as to why I've stopped using them:
- Clementine: Horrible shuffle feature - would only randomly choose songs from one album, then went to the next album after going through all of one album's tracks, although I liked the rest of it
- Amarok: I found that it ate through my battery, although I did really like it overall (minus the GUI, but that's not too important in a music player)
- AIMP: Made most of my music sound really "empty" and somewhat compressed, if that description makes sense
- MediaMonkey: I haven't dropped this one yet, I've only just started trying it out, good so far but I'm not sure if I'll keep it or not
