Goldleaf - A Nintendo Switch multipurpose homebrew tool

Goldleaf

Goldleaf is a multipurpose homebrew tool for Nintendo Switch!

Goldleaf.1.jpg

Similar to the well-known 3DS homebrew FBI, Goldleaf serves as a file browser/manager/editor, title manager, user account manager... and more!

Let Goldleaf make your life easier while dealing with more or less technical Nintendo Switch stuff!

I've had a couple of NSPs that stopped installing half way through. Can I just reinstall over the top of them and it's fine?

Awesome app so far otherwise.

It's easy. There are actually instructions built right into the usb_install_pc.py script, you can find them if you open it in a text editor. Here they are though:

# macOS Instructions:
# 1. Install Homebrew https://brew.sh
# 2. Install Python 3
# sudo mkdir /usr/local/Frameworks
# sudo chown $(whoami) /usr/local/Frameworks
# brew install python
# 3. Install PyUSB
# pip3 install pyusb
# 4. Install libusb
# brew install libusb
# 5. Plug in your Switch and go to Tinfoil > Title Management > USB Install NSP
# 6. Run this script
# python3 usb_install_pc.py <path/to/nsp_folder>

Yep, I've just had exactly the same issue - I've now reverted back to 0.2 and all working again.

Guys, if it's a nightly, you are installing unstable software. No need to tell people to revert back then, general rule is not to run nightlies if you don't need a specific feature.

Please, allow Home to be pressed, when the USB installer hangs on the "startong to write contents..." it's annoying to force a reboot...

i press the power button (entering sleep mode and then press power to home menu normally to close the goldleaf)

I actually meant on 0.2 lol. Hasn't happened many times but once in a while it does. So I guess I can just reinstall the game over the top of the dud installation?

I just got a 256GB SD card, formatted it to FAT32 and started getting all of my games in split NSP format using splitNSP.py.
Does Goldleaf (or any other homebrew) have some sort of feature to install NSPs in the split format directly from the FAT32 SD card?

USB installs on the stable version is also quite buggy. I tried to install 7-8 games and only 2 worked with gold leaf. Rest I had to copy to SD card and install via n1dus.

So the thing I noticed was that after one successful install the next one failed. In all my tries my switch crashed once. Rest other times the process just stayed at installing and nothing happened.

Guys, what happens when I mix the web-applet I've just managed to use and Goldleaf?

Yeah guys, as I've told you several times, it was just a matter of time that we would manage to use the console's internal browser, and Goldleaf is the first tool to have it supported.
Go give it a try on the latest nightly build!

I'm really happy for being the first dev to get this applet working!
