That's what I figured, thanks for confirming. Waiting on @PheinteI know for the PS4 version, if you hit R2 it will bring up a social menu that shows you your friends on that platform, then some options for contacting people via their RocketID for cross-platform play. In the post above I have everyone's competitors listed with their RocketID in brackets, so you should be able to open up that menu to contact them in-game and set up a private party to play in.
