This new file format, ripped from the Nintendo Switch eShop servers, is being called a Nintendo Submission Package (.nsp) file. There is currently no known way to run this file type, or any BBB release on hacked Switch hardware, available to the public.
In the above .nfo file, packaged with the ripped .nsp eShop game, BBB have also revealed the master_key_03 for the Switch (removed), allowing any currently released Switch file to be decrypted.

So are you all going to keep going round and round and round?

I think it's obvious the guy doesn't give a fuck about people disagreeing about it.
Adding up more posts on the matter, which is going offtopic by far, wouldn't help.

If life taught me a thing, it's that you never win arguing with a stubborn person, no matter how twisted you reformulate your point over and over.

Back on topic: does anyone know what kind of method was used to get a eshop game dumped as some sort of "master rom"? It's particularly interesting. It reminds me of the 3ds .cia files.

I've said what I needed to. Even if it was... Scattered.

As for the dump? I'm curious as well. More or less to know the process I spose.

ENOUGH!

This is not a thread about doxxing, or doxxing back, or whatever the heck you think you're doing.

Keep it on topic or don't post at all.

See something offending, report it. Don't take "the law" in your own hands. If we're slow to react, well that may be so, that happens sometimes.
Similar posts have been deleted within minutes, sometimes one slips through, Just report it.

I wonder if the Switch that BBB used to dump the eshop game got banned by Nintendo.. assuming it was modded in some way.

Unless Nintendo detects unexpected softwares running (homebrew), I doubt the console could have been banned.

Surely, in fact, I almost wish Nintendo learned since the 3ds and the WiiU.
Nintendo learning would be a major shock. Although, I have a feeling once the paid online starts they will be a lot more interested in protecting things.

This is actually rather necessary information. I would think so, anyways. I'll pass on modding my system if it meant a guaranteed ban.

I don't think so. How would they know they dumped something? They banned people for running title ids that were not whitelisted and the console reporting it to Nintendo's servers. If the dumper didn't even have a title id, because it wasn't a home menu app - how would they know it ran?

A few plausible theories floating around the 3DS and WiiU sections. Just depends on Nintendo and what they've implemented.

Let's think differently:

What if they somehow managed to grab the data directly from the SD card, without even running any 3rd party software from the Switch itself?
At this point, it would effectively let anyone to dump data and not get caught.

Well, if you have the keys, you can decrypt SD card content right now. The fine folks who make this CFW have already figured that out, so BBB can do it too.

My thoughts exactly.
Having keys certainly gives a huge advantage at gathering data without much efforts.

If you could find some sources/more info on that, that would be great. I've never heard of that until now, and I'm inclined to call it BS unless it comes from a reputable source or there's proof.

I don't support what they did, and posting a link here would most likely break the rules so I can't even if I wanted to.

You can, however, just google it and there's quite a few sources you can choose from (including the "anonymous" pastebin link where this originally came from - including the links to the Doxing Yu-Gi-Oh cards).

*Edit*: Thankfully the Pastebin link has been nuked/removed and it's even been removed from the Google cache (pastebin ended with: r8B7LLf1). Sadly I saw it when it was posted and the images were hosted on Moe.mixtape (since taken down properly as they no longer appear in reverse-searches uncensored now). They're still being hosted on the -snip- though (in censored form this time). The Yu-Gi-Oh cards were also discussed on a reddit post discussing the "leak".

I believe the images used in those "doxing" cards were public avatars, so could be cross referenced if you wanted to judge their authenticity.

Just depends on Nintendo and what they've implemented.

something tells me this time around depending on the FW version, Nintendo might of taken a page from Microsoft and how they're *nearly * instabanning Some kinds of mods if the consoles went online, and that being any checks at the software&or hardware level, or likely the Switch may just log awhole lot more data about the system and relay back than the 3DS did.

There are smart people locking at and logging everying that enters and leaves the console via network and even at the system modules themselves. I think we would know at some point if that was the case. And givin Nintendo's history, I'm highly doubtful. I just am.

personally, I hope backup loaders don't happen for a while or else I'll be tempted to hack my system. I find that the games I pirate are never played, because there's no obligation to. I only play games I bought on the wii u for example, and all of those are digital buys. I don't plan to go digital this time around, because I do plan to hack the system eventually. I don't want to until I've played/beaten enough games, then I'll sell all of my original cards (something I wish I could've done on the wii u since waiting on disability has eaten away all of my money, and I really could've used that).

I find that weird, as someone with a hacked Wii and PSvita, I always play and complete games, maybe just the thought of having whatever game you want is making you feel overwhelmed and like you don't have the ''obligation'' to play the games, since you got it for free. I think a little discipline is the only thing you need (so you don't end up downloading 50 games and just having a so called ''backlog'') My solution it's to just get one game at a time.

Now on the topic itself, I'm not sure when the Switch it's going to get hacked, but I think I got my Wii on 2014, and PSvita on 2017, I barely played the games I want, but I'll probably get a Switch near it's end of life.

They log a LOT of data. Far, far more than 3DS. It's been said before, telemetry on Switch is high. Best way to not get banned on the Switch is to not do dumbshit, you can't fool high telemetry forever regardless of how carefully you may scrub the reports. The moment something doesn't agree server-side with Switch-side would be a huge and obvious red flag.

We won't really know how they plan to sniff out cfw or if they even will attack it directly. CFW itself isn't an issue, and piracy is much easier for them to detect because most kids pirating have no sense of discreteness and they know what a given console is meant to own. See: Pokemon.

They would know if you were trying to run (while connected) software you don't own, they know what any account/Switch is meant to own. This is likely a dump through a Switch, not an actual dump from the eShop (as I don't see how they'd bypass the auth server and if they did, they'd get logged and banned immediately as well as start getting logged for what is effectively criminal activity). Why they left it in this format, I have no idea as this is just a wrapper on NCAs.
