EZ Flash Junior Micro SD Initial Error

Hey,

So I bought EZ Flash Junior but no matter what I do, I can't get it to work.

I'm using a brand new Sandisk Ultra 32Gb (10) A1, formatting it to many combinations of ExFAT32 & FAT32. I've tried FAT32 GTP 32KB and more using Rufus 3.2.1 (tried also windows format).

Tried using both 1.4 and 1.5 firmware versions, never getting past the "LOADING... micro SD initial error!".

I've placed the ezgb.dat in the root folder, created a SAVER folder, and tried many things.

No matter what I do, it doesn't work.

My Gameboy color is custom made from 8bitaesthetics, screen: "Retro Pixel XL IPS Backlit LCD kit with touch sensor brightness control - 25% larger screen than OEM LCD"

Edit: found an older version of Sandisk 16GB, formatted it too and still same error.

Also, bought a new battery and switched it on the cartridge and still same error.

Would appreciate your help!

Format the sd card with this.

Micro SD Initial Error is a problem that cannot recognize the sd card.

There is a possibility that there is a problem with the sd card slot.

Using a Ni–MH battery can be helpful.
Recommendations
Eneloop Pro, Ikea Ladda 2450mah.

Hey!

I have the same problem with my Ez-flash jr.
I have SanDisk ultra 32gb formatted as FAT32 with 32kb unitsize. I tried formatting with windows 10, SD associations formater and with the program moon_rabbit suggested. I have another Kingston 32gb micro-sdhc too but it didn't work either.

When I turn my Gameboy color on I get "LOADING... Micro SD initial error!".

Original GBC, no mods, batteries are fully charged.
It's CGB-CPU-01 / CPU CGB A

Any suggestions? : /

SD card partition style is MBR

guiformat cannot detect hidden partitions.

If it's not a new SD card.

Use this program.

If capacity of sd card is larger than 32 gigabytes, this program can't make FAT32.

SD initialization error is most likely a pin soldering problem on the sd connector.

Reflowing the whole thing might be a solution.
