I have a relatively new EZ flash Jr that I bought about three weeks ago from a vendor. It worked great until last night. I cannot get it to load anymore. I have tried multiple gameboys, (TFT backlit GBC, original GBC, GBL, GBA, SP, and two Pockets) it does the same thing on all of them. I have formatted the micro SD probably a dozen times now. Copied the right files in the right places. Using FW4. What happens is it boots up and when it hits the SD reading screen it will either scramble the screen, turn black, reboot with a scrambled nintendo logo, or show this weird code that says xyz~and a delta symbol. Micro SD is a Sandisk Ultra Red. 32KB cluster FAT32 when formatting. Cart itself looks fine. No bad traces or popped up pins. Also cleaned the SD slot just to be sure. Have no idea what happened to this when it was running flawlessly until yesterday, and now I can't even get it to do anything.

Solutions:

1. Knock knock the card to the desk with gentle force several times(card in the hand, not throw out. not brutal force. just heavier than the finger knock) the vibration may adjust the component's position.

2. Open the case. use some thing clean the metal contact around the main chip(the biggest chip on the board).

3. Use a hair blower max heat the two BGA chips on the upper left more than 5 mins.

If none of the above options are successful, please contact your dealer for a replacement.

If you have access to somebody with a GBxCart RW flasher, or a Joey Jr, you can have them flash the cart's firmware back to the cartridge. That usually works for me when my ElCheapo SD corrupts it's own firmware for no reason.
