Hacking EFA Linker II (Long-Cart) Is not recognized

Hey you all, I'm new to the foruns but I've come to this website before, great community!

I've got a problem which is driving me mad. I've got a EFA Linker II 1GB (the fake one from DXtreme), which is in reality a EFA linker v1 with 1GB and also work with the Long-Card drivers.

The thing is, I've got this for some years now, and it always worked properly, and still does in the GBA. But, I simply cannot connect it to any computer. I've tryed 3 differente WinXP computers, with SP3 and SP2, and low speed USB's. And also 3 diferent Vista Computers, recent ones.

In all of them the result is a crash, or, the card is recognized, installed and then the green light turns on, I use the client, the light turns red and the client simply stops. Everything stops, there seems to start but it breaks down.

I've tryed with the long-card drivers and the EFA Simple drivers. One all the computers. I just want to revive the old thing, since its working, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've even charged the card for more then 8hrs as sugested.

Does anyone have a sugestion for me??

you need windows xp sp2 or lower to use the drivers correctly. SP3 changes the signed driver support and security settings that makes it so that if you didn't have it already installed when you upgraded, it will cause you problems.

It is not that you need the correct drivers, as more that you need the correct app loader to not crash.

As a general rule, ALL driver based gba flashcarts are for XP only. Trying to run them on Vista is a hit/miss.

Thanks for the answer, but that is the client I've been trying. And that is the one that crashes. And I've tryed on a XP SP2 portable. And still the same problem. Could it be a flash card battery issue? Does it charge with the green light on?

Anyway, i'll try to find another xp computer to try it on. I didn't want to install xo SP2 just for this on mine...

Any more ideas are appreciated!

On a stock install (no lite version or custom versions) of xp sp2 it doesn't crash on any of the 7 computers I have.
